Shiv Baba Dham

Shiv Baba Dham - Akbarpur

A popular pilgrimage site is the Hindu temple of Shiv Baba. It is situated 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the city, on Faizabad Road, and 50 kilometres (31 mi) from the holy city of Ayodhya. A fair is held here every Monday and Friday.

There is belief of lakhs of people that Shiv Baba fulfill their wishes.People also tie Brass Bells and Chunari to make their wishes.
Here it is believed that - No one can return empty handed from here.

About the city

INTRODUCTION Akbarpur is a city and a municipal board in, and the administrative headquarters of, Ambedkar Nagar district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Ambedkar Nagar District. Akbarpur is also the birth place of Ram Manohar Lohia (1910-1967) who was a renowned Indian freedom fighter and a socialist political leader. This district was created on September 29, 1995 and was named in the memory of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, who worked for the upliftment of the deprived classes, women and other weaker sections of the Society. Geography Akbarpur, is situated on the banks of the  Tamsa River  (also known as the  Tons River ).
